Conference Tips 
Lots of tips are available for participant and presenter alike to make your conference experience a fun and productive one.Participant Support:
Preparing for a Session:
- Go to Technical Check to run computer configuration and access checks.
- Any problems please address them in the Help Desk or contact us. Availability becomes much more restricted to troubleshooting access problems once the conference starts!

Joining a Session:
- Click on the "Live Schedule" from the Conference Menu and click on the session title at the scheduled time.
- Click on the "Join meeting" link that will appear shortly before the scheduled session. Check-in is allowed 30min ahead of the scheduled session.
- You will be prompted to download software. You must allow these downloads to join a speaks VOLumes session.

How to Add a Picture, Timezone and Subscription Options to Your Profile:
Including a picture in your profile is a great way to personalize the online conference experience and build a sense of community. When you add a picture to your profile, it will show up beside each post you make in the Introductions area making it easier for people to quickly identify the participants in an asynchronous conversation.
In your "Profile", if you have set your timezone, the times listed in the description for each event will be to your time. Also, a "TIME CONVERSION" setting based on the conference time and your own computer's time is provided in the left column.

How to.
- On any conference page, click on your name in the bottom center of the screen.
- Click on the tab "Edit Profile"
- Scroll down to the section "Picture of"
- Click on the "Browse" button
- In the popup window, select your file from your computer, and then click Open
- Click on the "timezone" field drop down options and select the appropriate timezone for you.
- Click on the "Show Advanced" button, and then, "Forum auto-subscribe" field drop down options and select "No: do not subscribe me to that forum"
- Make sure and note that you have addressed all the required fields of the profile!
- Click the "Update Profile" button at the bottom of the screen
Participating in a Discussion:
To post in a discussion topic:
- Click on the "Introductions" option under Conference Cafe from the Conference Menu
- Click the button "Add a new discussion topic"
- Enter a descriptive subject that will entice other participants to read your post!
- Click the button "Post to forum"
To reply to a post:
- Click on the posted discussion of interest
- Click "Reply" at the end of a post you wish to respond
Subscribing to Discussion Threads:
Did you know that you can elect to receive an email whenever someone posts a message to the Introductions ? Here's how.
- Click on the "Introductions" option under Conference Cafe from the Conference Menu
- Select from the following options presented on the discussion topic's page on the top right side
